Entrepreneurship School
Life happens now
The ILS sees itself as an entrepreneurship school. Following the motto "Life happens now" (and not just after school or university), the aim is to give students the opportunity to find themselves, trust their own strengths and accept their weaknesses. Being different is not just accepted — students learn how to benefit from diversity. Namely through assembling robust teams with complementary skills, within which sustainably successful projects are realized. We value the development of practical life skills, critical thinking and personal responsibility — also with the goal of founding one's own business according to individual passion.

Learning, unleashed
Freedom to grow at your own pace
At ILS we learn from real life. For us this means we learn mathematics, reading, writing and other subjects within our own projects. These can be individual semester projects, group projects and joint excursions. The same applies here as everywhere: we learn with the heart.
Author Project
In a workshop with a children's book author, we learned how a book is made. Now we're writing our own...
Music
For the ILS year-end in summer 2022, we performed the musical 'Der kleine Tag' by Rolf Zuckowski.
Curriculum 21 compliant
Our curriculum is state-approved and provides a solid foundation for the transition to further education institutions or entering the workforce.
Chill House Project
In our garden, we're building our own little retreat. We get to furnish it however we like!
Permaculture Garden Project
At ILS we get to plant and tend our own garden.
ILS Company
Already in the first year of upper school, we founded our first company. Our first generation developed a learning game for fun language learning: CARTT.
Investment Project
In a trading workshop, we learned what role probabilities play in investment processes. Now we challenge the pros.
Film Project
At ILS we immerse fully in English from kindergarten. We perform theater or make a film.
CARTT ++ The Upper School Company
Already in our first year of upper school, we founded our own company: CARTT. Now we're looking for investors to start the next phase.
Team-Building
At ILS we are one big unit. Here we support each other, live together, decide together, and grow together.
Flea Market
In lower school, we learn arithmetic with monetary units as per Curriculum 21. To experience this firsthand, we ran a stand at the Uznach flea market and applied what we learned.
Vernissage
In our visual arts block, we became interested in pencil drawing and visited Jürg Hirrlinger in his art studio. Now we're planning a vernissage to exhibit our own artwork.
Model Cars
Every student can do an individual semester project. Three questions must be answered: 1. What interests me? 2. What do I want to find out? 3. What value do I create for my environment? An upper school student showcases his creative talent by building model cars to personal specifications.
Butterfly House
Our NMG week initially revolved around the topic of Earth. We learned about earthworms and their importance for our soil. From worms we moved to caterpillars. A workshop with butterfly expert Reto Künzler from Bern rounded off this fascinating week. Since then, our garden also has a small butterfly house.
Quantum Speed Reading
Before our autumn holidays, we immersed ourselves in Quantum Speed Reading. With coaches from Germany and New Zealand, we spent several days exploring different learning methods for the right hemisphere.
3D Printing
Our youngest students developed their own product idea that they want to produce with a 3D printer. They conducted a cost-benefit analysis to determine which printer model the ILS should acquire.
