"Help me to do it myself"
Dear young explorers and adventurers
In our ILS playgroup we explore the wonders of nature, learn playfully with a focus on the right hemisphere, get fresh air and let off steam in a safe environment. We would love to create unforgettable memories with your children too.

Offerings and Activities
On cosy and varied mornings, your children from 2½ years of age practise social behaviour and develop their personality through free and organised play in a group:
Price:
CHF 500 per semester and two mornings of your choice per week
Crafting
Stimulates your children's creativity, sparks their imagination and challenges them to focus on a task. Crafting develops their fine motor skills while boosting their self-confidence at the same time.
Singing
Promotes language development.
World of books
Reading picture books aloud promotes your children's cognitive development. It contributes to language development and thereby expands their communication skills.
Painting
At the ILS painting wall, your children can let their creativity run free using Arno Stern's method.
Discovering nature
During regular visits to forests and farms, children get to know woodland and farm animals and plants, and develop a mindful relationship with nature.
Free play
for the emotional and social development of your children. Free play allows your children to express their feelings, practise conflict resolution and develop social skills.
Right hemisphere
The right hemisphere controls creative thinking (imagination, visualisation, memorisation, etc.). Through various exercises, your children playfully dive into the world of mathematics and music and are exposed to at least two foreign languages before kindergarten age.

How we work
My name is Yvonne "Yv" Schindler, mother of three wonderful children. I live in the countryside and have a deep connection with nature and animals. For about 20 years I have been guiding children with my guiding principle "Help me to do it myself" (by Maria Montessori).
In our ILS playgroup, experiencing and discovering are at the heart of everything. At ILS we call this "immersion". We place great emphasis on fostering children's independence. This is an important step on the path to a successful start in kindergarten.
"Help me to do it myself. Show me how it is done. Don't do it for me. I can and want to do it on my own. Have patience with my ways of understanding."
— Maria Montessori

Getting started at the ILS Playgroup
We give your children all the time they need to separate from their mother or father. They are allowed to learn this in the playgroup and do not need to be able to do it already. This takes the pressure off many parents and eases the separation process.
If the mother or father needs to stay initially (when the child cannot separate), they should keep as much of a background presence as possible. Parents should under no circumstances bring the child to the playgroup with the remark "I'll stay five minutes and then I'll go." This puts the child under pressure, as no child at this age has a sense of time yet.
We ask you to pick your children up on time. The playgroup leader must be able to rely on parents. If a child is picked up late on an exceptional basis, please inform us in advance.

The child is free to decide for themselves what they would like to play at the moment. Through rules and boundaries, children learn to move within our society. The little ones learn to take responsibility and treat others with consideration and respect. We create opportunities to playfully immerse themselves with all their senses in the worlds of languages, mathematics and music, and to experience nature with love.
